A lot of politics in team. Only people close to managers get promotion irrespective of their prior experience. A few TLs are discriminative in their behaviour and you can’t directly approach HR. You gotta first complain to the skip level manager and that guy would leak things to TL, and you’re a gone case. There are a handful of QAs who score writers on each and every ticket. These people are heavily pampered by TLs. See it’s like you get manipulative critical feedback just before the end of the year so that it affects your annual bonus. You also get critical feedback on ticket if you complain against your TL or it actually depends on QAs opinion about you. Whatever they say is final, they are like hitlers. No one has guts to go against them, even the so called appeal in feedback will only backfire. These QA’s have 2 or less than that prior experience working as call center executives and some as freelances but they managed to get promotions. Senior people with prior relevant experience will just be stagnant in their positions. I’ve noticed one worst thing that people give importance to looks. It’s a BPO not an IT company.

Growth is stagnant. HR dept doesn't exist as such,Communication gap. Increments in pay are low, compared to market standards. Night shift allowances are low.

...ey come too early. I like the office interiors which makes working a bit better. Pay is okayish.

Dislikes

Management. Leadership. No proper decision making. Every day there is a change in the process. It is definitely a better disguised BPO. No work life balance. No growth opportunity even if there are internal job postings as they are rigged. If leadership thinks you are good in one process, they won't let you go to another. Favoritism is widely accepted. Rotational shifts every quarter that messes up your health. No time to do any other activity other than work. Breaks are timed. One minute extra and you are called out. No space to learn other courses or things.

GOC was a great place to work only because of my direct Managers who were very supportive throughout my tenure at GOC and the pay was also really good!

Dislikes

...ey were never approachable and never created awareness pertaining to some issue. Despite they used to come at the end moment to fire people and do cost cutting and used to get awards for that, and the senior management sitting in the states doesn't know these people's best practices :)

The Google Operations Center as genral has a ability to provide better working exprince to employees when compared with any other organisations. It does provide you with some Good meals and benefits for personal growth which one could claim reimbursements for.

Dislikes

... 'maybe' get hike one day or better role or better IJPs would role out some day. You might get good salary package at the start however you won't get often hikes. People get layed off before they can complete their 5 years for you know!!!!!!
