Salary Negotiation in an interview
Hi, I have had a first round of interview with the company. And mentioned my salary expectations as 15- 20% from my previous LPA. But after that I feel like I have undervalued my expectations. Being in the field for 9 years with the required skill, considering the market and the prospect company is a well known builder, i should have asked more. Anyway a face to face interview is scheduled next week. How to ask them a higher salary from what I have mentioned earlier. And how much I can ask more. Please help. Thanks in advance.

On time salary. A lot of learning for new employees. Work-Life balance.

Dislikes

Toxic work culture. Relations with senior are important than work for salary hikes and promotion. For joining also, reference is important than telent. People from same family; 2-3 generations are working there. HR team is huge but very weak. Lot of financial leakages. Something senior force to indulge in malpractice otherwise you will be out of the company. Difficult to sustain for hardworking and honest guy. "Yes boss", "yes boss"... "Ok boss", "ok boss" culture... No value of telent...

Work life balance is good. No calls when you are on leave. No calls after working hours.

Dislikes

Less software based work. Mostly manual work is carried out using Excel and PowerPoint. Lot of presentations are to made. Reviews are a lot. But no confirm decision making. Team work is not upto the mark.

Godrej Values and culture is not comparable to any other organization. I'm working in Godrej since last 4 years and learn many new skills that would definetly help me in growth of career I chosen. Overall its a great organization and thinks about its customers and employees as well.
