New Job, Higher Pay, Now I’m Feeling Awkward

I’ve been at my new job for about six months now, and everything’s been going great! I’m getting positive feedback from my manager, and I get along well with the team. The thing is, when I started, my salary offer ended up being much higher than the initial number discussed during my interview. I didn’t negotiate and just accepted the offer. So, fast forward to happy hour with the team, and the topic of salary comes up. I, unfortunately, shared what I’m making, and let’s just say... it didn’t sit well with the others who have been on the team for years and make less than me. They weren’t mad at me, but now I’m feeling a bit uncomfortable and unsure how to handle this situation. Has anyone had something like this happen? How did you deal with it? Let’s chat!

Salary and compensation No WFH Hr policies are outdated No canteen No food coupon. They hire employee with less salary (mostly freshers) And expect them to do projects and have expectations that they know everything. Half day policy is horrible

Basic salary component is of good value which decides your PF, Gratuity, Performance Pay and Variable pay. Guidance and trainings are good. They encourage to develop your skills. Time is properly managed.(you come early leave early no problem.) Communication is good. Mediclaim coverage is good. Lots of Events are held, festivals are celebrated. Your L+1, L+2 & L+3 actively participate in all events.

Dislikes

Timesheet (daily hours detail) filling is a somewhat tedious. Salary at the 10th day is a bit late. Mediclaim deduction is high and mandatory.(Can provide Mediclaim free upto 5lakhs, from there onwards charge as on premium/slab basis). MRP renumeration happens late, in the 3rd month of financial year which starts on April. No arrears.
