it is a place where one can learn more about the core sector which is electricity and power in my case. However beyond this with respect to tools and methodology mapping and planning there is really not much of a learning which can be expected from this company.

...ted with the core sector that is really not much of growth in terms of learning. The pay is really very low and quite a decent bit away from the industry standard on the negative scale.

Salary provided is below industry average. Promotions, increments and appraisals dont provide enough salary growth. Promotions take long even if you take extra efforts and show initiative to work hard.

Compensation is below benchmark and growth is slow. The work pressure is very high. Sometimes, I have to work 12-14 hours straight in a day without any extra compensation. Managers do not value an individuals' unique strengths, which is why I have to take back my suggestions most of the times. The management has a fixed mind-set towards the business process. The hard work done mostly goes unnoticed during the annual/mid appraisals. Despite of on-job training for freshers senior folks like me have to guide them step-by-step, which is a pain sometimes.

That you get proficient in a work and can do it quickly. Because there is no variety in work and you have to do same job day in day out. So people develop skills and shortcuts on how to do it quickly.

Dislikes

Salary is below industry standard but management thinks they are paying employees more than enough. Appraisals are peanuts. No professional growth at all. Lowest level work of a KPO firm. Don't even need graduates for such work. It's a general perception that GlobalData has a good work life balance with job security. But once you get in you will know the reality!

Immediate mentors will not behave in professional way. And there will be no growth in the salary and no scope for learning new things
