No appraisal, One who doesn't work is given appreciation and promotion, Managers only know to give orders and make others work like a donkey, especially Mr Manjunath TR, who is now working in Howden Insurance Brokers.
...gs regularly. One of the most reputed company in the insurance broking industry. Company has been supportive during covid19 lockdown by giving salary on time, taking regular updates of the employees and arranging necessary technical support to work from home.
The work culture is extremely toxic and there is clear partiality between South/North people. South people are allowed WFH but North Indians are not allowed no matter how much they're struggling. Sales people are intentionally kept out of meetings and mails after initial introduction and then their credit is stolen. The top management picks on people he doesn't like and then harrasses them till they finally resign out of mental agony. The other female senior takes sick leaves and after revokes them. She does WFH but doesn't allow team mates to take it. Senior make works from 9to9 and expects others to do the same. You are constantly taunted if you work normal hours or talk about work life balance.
It is common for them to 'hear' your concerns and then do nothing about them. Instead, they use it as an excuse to tag you inefficient. The senior management also tries to intimidate you if you're not at your desk by following you around and messaging you at odd hours like 5/6 am or 10-11 pm. On top of all this, they also over commit to clients and then pressurise you to work on weekends and for late nights. If you try to take initiative, the task is dumped on you without any guidance or support and then is used as another excuse to prove your inefficiency. There is also a weird sense of secrecy maintained because of the high insecurity levels of the top management. There are no opportunities to learn because you're overburdened with work. People are made to quit with no replacements for months. MD and HR have been repeatedly informed of these challenges but no action taken.
There is absolutely nothing to like in this company. It is one of the worst company to consider full of horrible colleagues from top to bottom. Only politics and biases towards specific selected employees.
People working here do not understand the concept of work life balance. They prefer sitting at office to show they work more rather than going home in time to be with family and the same is expected out of everyone. This is how the Bangalore branch runs. 3 mastermind at top in Bangalore branch who are only involved at office politics and crap.
Everything from company culture to people to management. Even if you communicate your concerns nobody really cares in this organization. Biased to the core. If you are reading this review and you really want to be in a healthy environment please don’t join this organization unless you are among one of such creatures.
