GKD is a German based company having joint venture with Indian company WMW. But in India it is totally run by Indian family without any interference of German people. Once you are hired,you have to work for both WMW & GKD. They aspire to be an international company but culture is totally boss centeric where you can not do anything without permission of company’s MD. Role of Production HOD is only that to remind your work which is given by MD in daily Gemba meeting and put a pressure on you that if he will get angry,will fire you.(Do not expect any support from HOD,He wants to save his job only). Also if the HOD doesn’t like you,He tells his close people to pass the information indirectly to you that your work is not satisfactory and they will fire you. Also they fired people in probation period without any prior notice. They consider FY Apr-March for increment but implement in July and give you in October based on your balance score card performance (Avg increment is 7-8%). All over cultural is a typical Small benifit company.

I was an Ex-Employee and I read the reviews of the different People. Honestly, I read the positive review and simply understood that these are the reviews given by the MD's Close (khas) - who gets his support just to improve the company image. Talking about the work culture - It's full of politics and there is no sense of job security. you can be fired at any time without any prior notice. I have seen innocent people getting fired because the HOD did not like his/her or even once argued with them/his favorites or mistakes done by higherer forced over them (HOD ke kuch favorite galati karte to galti unki nhi hoti balki unke under kaam karne wale shop floor workers or junior ki hoti). People are so narrow-minded here that will judge any girl/boy based on her/him talking to any male/female colleague. And above all this even if you want to leave peacefully and wanna resign seeing the kind of work culture - NA NA NA - how can you!. They will make your life hell in your notice and do all the cheap tricks they are capable of. Please rethink your decision if you wanna join.
