Friendly teammates Decent pay Decent work life balance for tech team

Dislikes

-No or very less documentation. All information is available, but scattered. -Almost all requests are ad-hoc, which leads to frequent context switching. -Too much time spent on Excel sheets for a technical role -Nature of work is not so challenging for experienced professionals (security analyst role) Lack of communication and collaboration between teams. One of the most underrated things an employer can do is to upskill and reskill employees in company time. Hope that some time and budget is allocated for the same.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
