Policy and sales pressure as someone who want to learn more about wealth management and investment, I'm stuck in log-in days this learning curve is bad some Officers are treating customer as it's late 90s where they can move customer from counter to counter and delay paper work, not realising that it is also affecting other's efficiency as well. last but not least Transfer policy, not able to move to a desired location even if Mutual agreement is there

...ere are lots of certification courses and examination and higher study facility. If one can manages to study while working , and pass the exams , there will be increment in salary and the chances of promotion gets better . However , the promotion / appraisal is very structured. Every after 3 years and above are eligible for promotion and the probation period after promotion is 1 year. But , if one is dedicated, the career trajectory can be very good and one can actually retire from federal bank with lots of perks and benefits.

Dislikes

There are different department in Federal Bank and different types of hierarchy. However, to change your department from branch to zonal office , or retail loan to forex headquarters etc is very difficult and almost based on constant request to HR or based out of pure luck. Every year , there will be transfer of your position and that might not be the scenario for change in your department. So one's career in the federal bank can be very upscaling and upward moving , however for someone who's struggling with location switch , might be very challenging.

Excellent salary Package, with allowances, ex-gratia, additional interest on fds, rds, low rate of emis on staff loans, cheap loans, salary according to bipartite settlement, adequate number of leaves.

Dislikes

3rd party insurance selling, lesser number of staff at branch level, hr policies not transparent, frequent transfers from officer level, working environment is not according to new gen, work-life balance is not there, can get posted to remotest of areas.

HR deployment is the worst. It is not transparent. They don't consider talents. You may be forced to work in completely irrelevant roles even You are specialized in a particular field. HR is not concerned about learning and development. They just need a person to fill a vacancy. Worst HR policies.

...ing.If we are deserving n performing well ,we will be noticed by the higher ups.Fair appraisals and good compensation n allowances also.

Dislikes

Top management decisions and policies are not conveyed to field level employees n we feel aliens at times.There should be a platform where one can raise a concern directly to a top leader.
