Initial good salary to lure people

Dislikes

Everything looks upside down. Management is highly insecure & jealous of technically sound people. Irrational and mad vision. The previous CTO and VP, eng, have left a trail of destruction in their wake, significantly impacting our operations. I haven't seen such an insecure mindset. The VP used to kill all innovation initiatives, such as architecture revamps and analytics. People doubt he is a spy from another company whose job was to sabotage Eka from within and kill all of the innovation work. The CTO is a foul-mouthed, bad-attitude lady whose job is to shout at others for no reason. She didn't even have the bare minimum technical qualifications for being a CTO. Just putting black money doesn't make anybody a CTO. Due to her technical incompetence, the VP blindfolded her. Anyway, karma is everything; her bad karma always takes on her as one of the kids is physically challenged. These people still won't change and do bad things to get cursed by others. Due to extreme politics, they let go of everyone, and nobody was there to take things ahead. I don't know why they set up this type of company; for what purpose? Anyway, due to manpower shortage, they had to sell it off, and the STG group surely have to face the burden of self-created technical debt.

In COVID still they are hiring for specific roles. Niche domain hence pay increase fast( this I heard from senior). Ultimately it boils downs to relationship with manager. The more on person acts yes man (slave types) the more better in manager eyes. Product knowledge is hard to gain.

...they changed our designation.Change the notice period from 1month to 3 months. 2)Changede performance bonus payout from 1yr to 18months. 3)Manager speak about customer empathy but there is no sense fo employee empathy. Manager has got many complaints but still HR team didn't take action. HR conducted survey about managers to understand how things going on but no action were taken. They don't Understand the technical team pressure. They don't understand, if employee does not feel safe,then surely they will leave Either it's lazyiness or its toxicity. If you read review on mouthshut or other places u will see people have commented negative reviews 10yr back which still exists today's as well. It's easy to connect the dots because senior mangers are same the juniors changed. Manager will throw us in diff. projects randomly which are having diff. technical knowledge to solve the issue which the managers won't understand himself expecting to get work done. Also the managers of my department doesn't hav any knowledge of product & gives subjective decisions. Company is there since 16yrs but still they call themselves startup because they don't have a clear hierarchy. Fights have happened but HRs and management supports eachother and not the technical department. Management speaks they will do so many things but they actually don't mean it. Most of the seniors with > 10yrs of experience have left. Most are new comers. I mean the foundation has already broken and will break more and more. It's like gift box wrapped with nothing inside. Company is writing fake reviews to improve there ratings on many sites. Engineering roles it's not worth here as the product is made in java(old coding lang). Note to HR, CEO: if you play with emotions then you are bound to hear these reviews. It's foolish from management side to think there employee to be loyal in an toxic environment like this.

Work life balance is zero. Nobody cares even if you put extra hours, people think that is normal. Hire and Fire whenever there is no budget.

It is been so far so good,over the last 1 year i have learnt a lot.I have learnt multiple things such as Automation platfrom like hubspot and Sales force,So It is been very good learning pharse for me.All proscess are quite good and team is delivering well.My Manager is Quite humble and polite,regular meeting are very helpful to talk to each other and catch up,Training is good,Eka gives me regular opportunity to grow.made a lots of friends here and thats an added advantage.

Good interaction with the skip levels. Office within a tech park are the only pros.

Dislikes

Everything is controlled to please the top management only, no thought for the actual hardworkers. Legacy software, often misbehaving leaders and heavy open office politics. Nothing is anonymous to the HR, often every feedback is shared. No L&D. Hire and fire policy. No growth. Training materials are a joke. Panic situation on the ground as all client deals are being broken.
