Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

It was awesome experience working with Edgewater Resources, a multi million dollar Canadian own company with branches in Spain, Canada and sublets in Ghana west Africa joint ventured with KINROSS, Chirano gold mines. The company's focus and development is sentenced on teamwork spirit, strategic in house training of her professionals. Though a small entity, the welfare and wages is good. Provession of social amenities in the Project camps is awesome, good environment devoid of politics. Work life and holidays are well planned that, every staff have good contact with his or her family life...
