...cial skills as majority of work comes from social connections and word of mouth. Apart from that many senior advocates also give no to average to good stipend/salary to their interns and juniors but that also depends upon person to person. For learning and skill development, it depends on how much you can grasp from your seniors or your own experiences.

Dislikes

Many interns / juniors advocates work for free or miniscule stipend under senior advocates just to get some practical experience of litigation. Initial years of practice are very hard especially for first generation advocates, as there is no strong financial support for them generally. There is neck cutting competition with survival of the fittest. Litigation practice is the domain where strong preys upon the weak. Some days are good, some are bad and some may be baddest. Earnings also are not stable until you have good established practice. As per BCI rules you cannot advertise your work, you cannot work in any other field simultaneously. I will not suggest litigation practice for first generation advocates if they are not financially strong.

Working as an advocate in a district court is a great opportunity and responsibility. An advocate has to do so much hardwork for his client and give his best to his case. If you are an criminal lawyer, you need to be more responsible and more ambitious towards your work. As an advocate , you should also maintain your dignity in front of your client and colleagues.

Some times when your colleagues play politics or judges after hearing the case on merit with wonderful and strong arguments gives wrong or unfair judgement.
