Work exposure is good due to national and international collaborations of PGIMER

Dislikes

Project based jobs are not very satisfactory as no job security is offered under these. Moreover, the present working culture leads to poor work life balance with no significant skill development beyond a certain point of time.

You work is appraised on regular basis and in return the department inentivize the good performers.The department organizes orientations/ trainings on regular basis to implement the programmes effectively at grassroot level.

As a programme manager you are stuck to one position only as the department fails to provide an opportunity to go up in the hierarchy.

Likes

They do help upgrade skills, but the selection process is unfair and based on decision from Management. Some people dont want to upgrade or are about to retire but are guven the privilege instead of people who are interested and have a long time to still be in the service. The health insurance is great and team building is important but not often enough due to staff shortages.

Salaries need to be reviewed and increased accordingly. Our work is not noted as a profession as others e.g. Teaching, yet we have the most exstensive training program and are not compensated for that. Its sad.
