...d. Team has a culture of openness, being direct and genuine care for each other. Salary slabs per level is not less than market benchmark, but can't say the same for increments. A few teams like mine allow a relaxed application of the current hybrid working from office rule. Overall as compared to other big4s, the employee first approach is Deloitte's USP. Kudos to them for keeping this alive regardless of their other counterparts from the market.
...that getting a higher amount upfront in your hands is better than future income. But seriously, that's absurd, since increments go towards raising the base salary on which future jumps and salary negotiations (if you change jobs) will depend. In fact i would say all the other Big4s do a better job with increments (but also may do much worse on work culture and work life balance). Unlike EY, Deloitte India does not provide any option of international secondments/mobility. Switching profiles only domestically within Deloitte India is permitted. There is a lack of organization wide focus towards offsites unlike other Big4s. If it happens, it happens by contributions within a team. Technical trainings need to be stepped up - EY is market leader in this. Also, many new joinees have not got welcome kits, and it's unfair to those who joined 1 yr back seeing relatively newer folks be pampered by the organization
Deloitte is a great place to work. It really cares for its employees safety and learning and development. We were allowed to WFH from the lockdown and its december 2020 now and we are still allowed to work from home. They have even provided some amount to all the employees and its interns for buying furniture or any equipment which can make WFH comfortable. Also they have spent a lot on technology so that our learning and development doesn't stop.
Its really a good place to work.
Year End Week-long break, Learning Opportunities ( including online, classroom , project specific training and SAP training ), various townhalls and all hands meet. Work life balance is better than other companies.
Career Growth , career counselling, career planning and adequate opportunities for future growth, Rewards, Recognition, Bonus and Increment could be bettered.
...eer growth opportunities are concentrated in Mumbai, Delhi, Blore,Hyderabad etc. People in small locations like Kolkata, Jamshedpur have to struggle a lot for a move or pay hike.
