... quality of work is better compared to other Big 4 in the global auditing field. The salary is sometimes better than those given in industry.

There has been a 180 degree shift in the culture in the recent times. In the name of cost cuttings, they overload the employees with unmanageable amount of work and in case they fail, the manager has the ability to totally screw your performance review. All of this discourages the employees by indirectly forcing them out, thereby reducing the workforce. There is no work-life balance. It is common for the management to expect employees to work an average of 12 hours a day, many times including weekends. This level of toxicity is not worth any amount of pay, bonus or perks.

I started working in Deloitte in 2021 and everything was great but right now they are indirectly laying off people by mental harrassment and giving very vague reasons. Reason for laying off is overstaffing and mass hiring during covid. As of now there is no job security in Deloitte at Senior level and they have a target to lay off people.

Deloitte makes an effort to give the professionals a healthy work-life balance. It also offers the most competitive package among all the big 4s giving more than fair appraisals and bonuses. It has a very strong inclusive culture and policy.
