Work environment and work life balance is good. You will have plenty of paths to expand your learning wings in various technologies. I feel Dell is one of the best companies out there.

Dislikes

Compensation is good but growth is slow. No recognition from managers no matter how many appreciations you get from client. But managers gets appreciations from their higher managers.

Not good for contractors as policies not applicable

...he will directly inform consultancy to start notice period without informing us. Never ever join this as contractor which will effect your career, also less salary compare to permanent and no respect from them. No value for contractors until unless they have project. I am not offending anyone and i am explaining the situation happened to me. No job security for contractors.

Likes

Very good work culture and friendly management. Although your work experience vastly varies depending upon the team you are in. Luckily the team I am working for had good management and liberal leadership.

Dislikes

Even though current compensation is good. Previous were not good enough. Internal movement is a little difficult.

Likes

There is nothing to like at all, immediate leaders don't possess software development knowledge and are too much into politics. Too much micromanagement.

Dislikes

No recognition, no compensation hike, no appreciation, too much work pressure, leaders are worst, and too much tracking and micro-managements. Not worth joining the company. All day works and standups including weekends. There is too much pressure at work and there are always very strict and tight deadlines. Zero work-life balance. Downwards learning curve. Managers will force you to work on weekends as well.

Best work culture Good work life balance. Senior Management is good and supportive Various opportunities to work on different tech stacks or framework. So able to get good opportunities to learn. Good opportunities in Dell EMC data storage domain. Dell has strong vision and planning in data storage domain

Dislikes

Compensation is low compared to other product based and competitive companies. No stocks in CTC in general or fresher joinee. Sometime depending on projects technologies used might be legacy/old.
