Provided job security in time of a pandemic, the work never stopped even during the lockdown. Managers are very supportive and knowledgeable.

...ou switch from validation to development, that also you have to fight a lot for. Zero compensation, employee benifits are minimum. No electricity compensation was provided to us when we worked from home in lockdown. It has been almost two years now, and they have not provided a hike citing pandemic reasons(many automotive domain companies have given hike to employees after lockdown). HR team is very poor, they'll do nothing for employees. Danlaw has the most knowledgeable people working for the company, yet it is so far behind other automotive domain companies. There is a lot to learn here, but after a time, there won't be anything new or exciting to work on. Danlaw does not try to work on something new or standard. Tools used here are not standard industry tools, they count pennies when it comes to saving. We haven't had a team lunch for more than one and a half year now, and this goes back even before the pandemic started. If you are getting a job in development, then do come here for gaining initial knowledge that will help you a lot further in your career. Don't come as a validation engineer.

For a company based in Novi, Michigan, USA the compensation is downright terrible. Eventhough this is a product company the salary is comparable to the service sector like Infosys. There is NO cultural sensitivity or anti-sexism training given to people and it SHOWS.

No appraisal.... No value for contract employees who work hard....too much Partiality between confirm employees and contract employees.... No system in the company regarding coats and slippers.

Working from home is not allowed, no flexible working hours, Infrastructure lacking like individual Microsoft Teams apps not provided, no Saturdays off & no privacy.

Likes

There are a lot of opportunities to come up with new ideas and take initiative on projects. It's a great place to tackle new challenges and make a difference in the company. But my favorite thing about Danlaw is the company culture. Our managers create a fun team environment, so coworkers are always willing to step up and help each other out.

Dislikes

Sometimes it takes awhile to get approval from management on projects or budgets. It can set back our timelines.
