Consumer Affairs is a very contemporary and important issue for every citizen of this country as well as the entire world. There are six(6) basic rights according to Consumer Protection Act, 2019 for every consumers in India. This department ensures these basic rights are not violated by some unfair trade practice & the rights are protected. There is simple, effective consumer dispute redressal mechanism through the process of pre litigation mediation & litigation process. This department runs consumer clubs in every district with school students from class 8 to 12 to spread consumer awareness at grassroot level which is also a basic right of every consumer. Thus this department is acting effectively for the interest consumers of this state as well as the people of India.
