Job security depends on situations. Few of my friends were in bench for more than 6 months, happily receiving salary without joining any project. While one of my friend was dismissed from cognizant because of not reporting to office during bench time. It all depends on the lead., my last project lead is a good man but a bad lead, he is new to cognizant as well. He doesn't even hear your suggestions and made me lose 3 months of night shift allowances worth 18,000

... large no. Of women employees. The work culture is most adaptable and flexible.. the salary hike and bonus every year is most satisfying...currently the major drawback is 10hours of work time which is tedious

Cognizant is a good company for career growth which is moving towards digital platform. And the hospitality and culture of work is really appreciated.

Dislikes

The salary structure for.the people is not based on the work. Even though two people in same project doing the same work the salery get varried according to their degree. That can be improved and the people are getting paid according to their designation not under the work they do.

1. Free cabs but that too you have to reach the nodal point. But your nodal point will be atleast 1.5 KMS in radius around you house. Nothing apart from this.

... working under them. 3. The leads are dominating agents reporting under them. 4. Shift allowance will not credit properly along with your salary. 5. If any leads friend or family members are in bench they will hire them to their project and do nothing beneficial for the project and after very few months, leads will send those relatives to better projects. 6. Too much of favouritism and partiality. 7. People around the leads are get glorified every moment. 8. Most of the people either old or new employee, none knows the major company policies atleast. 9. Even if you reach out to HR team, they will redirect again to your project manager who do not know the complete policies and this circle keeps circling without any resolution. 10. One of the poi are at work culture every seen or heard in life.

If you've switched your job from a big and organized company like TCS or Accenture the first thing you'll notice is no proper training is available, hr or admin connect is zero, learning and development opportunities are terrible, you'll notice micromanagement like a call center, employee feedbacks are not accepted, no location preferences, managers act like your juniors and puppets of senior management, no appreciation.
