This is not really for the company but more of individuals. Cognizant Kolkata has High (Very Senior) positions filled up by very inefficient resources. These guys are technically Associate directors and above (There are a quite handful of names) . These people with all the power in their hand do as they please , not caring about the impact on resources (And consequently quality of deliverables). This political situations does not only remain confined to the geography but spreads across locations as Bangalore and Pune. The main reason for me separating from Cognizant was this politically inclined , inefficient ,power hungry and casual management members. Not really a correct company to grow for potentially bright people. Instead your growth is defined by how much your manager /senior management is happy with you. There are people practicing such rules Akash D, Amar B etc etc.

Worst company, hell lot of discrimination between India and Manila. Management is worst and just care about how to loot money from client and warm their own pockets. No work life balance, worst of its kind.

Dislikes

Everything nothing good, they don't give you salary as what you do, no holiday, you need to work in india holiday and you need to work in US holiday as well. Management only do back hitching here. Don't ever join team under any philippians specially Joy Mendoza she is worst of her kind.
