As a QA resource, I can vouch for the Job Security and Benefits. But not much good things to say about this company. One advice, if you need to join Cognizant, choose technology on your term, before joining. Learning scope is there as one of the leading learning platform is free for all associates. But if don't get opportunity to work on new skills, not very useful.

Dislikes

Compensation does not increase if you are not a lateral hire. From Testing side, Leadership is poor from Estimation & Planning perspective. Hence in most projects either severe work pressure or sudden high number of ramp downs. Some projects are like black-hole if you get in, impossible to get out unless you resign. Yearly Rating system is biased. Managers and Sr. Managers need more training in soft skill.

Cognizant have lot of job opportunities and provide nice pay according to market standards. People working in cognizant can switch to other technology and work on it.

Dislikes

Hikes are very less when compare to other companies. Due to internal politics talented people efforts are recognised.

Cognizant has strong capebilities in delivering technology services with a robust support. People are satisfied working here but since past couple of years company has not given ample opportunitiesto employees in terms of growth and compensastion

Not good approasal No timely appraisal No promotion policies No standard salary parameters as per exp No benchmarking for compensastion

Likes

If you swith to Cognizant, they will provide good salary compared to other service based company. They also push their associate for skill development with regular certification drive.

Dislikes

The appraisal system dropped drastically in couple of years. Very minimum salary hike with high ratings.

Likes

Good I like that there are good projects available. If you get that great you will get experience and knowledge.

Dislikes

1. Salary and hikes are low. 2. Poor employee welfare activities, once a year they take you out for team lunch. If you missed then nothing, no gifts, abs nothing, saving so much money but gives back nothing.
