I joined Cognizant as a fresher and it’s a best place for starting your career. Culture is very good maybe because of company USA origin. I got good ratings for my hard work without any politics.

Salary and hike is low. Waiting period for promotion is so high even though if you have top year end rating.

Learning Opportunities were good. I did many of my certifications through their programs You can upskill a lot

...ecially the project I got into , the manager here has no professionalism at all. Salary hike is just for name sake.. No learning or growth as they make you work on the applications that have no scope outside. No HR connects to clear your queries. It's been 2 years here and it's weird that I don't know who's my HR, On questioned, they just give a lame answer like your manager is your HR. If you get into a project of different location especially Chennai based projects then there is no going back, they give you false hopes to give you preferred location and everyone here ends up resigning after 1 year of experience. They even change your base Location to Chennai.

Same as above all the concerns and they are never addressed.

Cognizant is one of the best MNC to start your career if you are joining here after your graduation. You will be able to get a lot of opportunity to work in different tech stacks.
