The company is good and open for innovations. I love the policies and benefits of cognizant technology solutions. Work culture and ambiance is good. Team members and staffs are also good.

Dislikes

Compensation is decent but growth is too slow. The desire to work or change domain or project is not at all flexible. Mangers do not listens to the problems or convenience of the employee. Flexibility to change the location of work is not good. Onshore opportunity is very less. Mangers do not give opportunity to talents rather they prefer one who is good at flattery. Managers are so mean that they try to ruin your carrier by not releasing you from the project so that you cannot up-skill yourself. Mangers also do not motivate or support for any external certification or to learn new skill.

Cognizant has strong capebilities in delivering technology services with a robust support. People are satisfied working here but since past couple of years company has not given ample opportunitiesto employees in terms of growth and compensastion

Not good approasal No timely appraisal No promotion policies No standard salary parameters as per exp No benchmarking for compensastion

If you swith to Cognizant, they will provide good salary compared to other service based company. They also push their associate for skill development with regular certification drive.

Dislikes

The appraisal system dropped drastically in couple of years. Very minimum salary hike with high ratings.

Likes

Good I like that there are good projects available. If you get that great you will get experience and knowledge.

Dislikes

1. Salary and hikes are low. 2. Poor employee welfare activities, once a year they take you out for team lunch. If you missed then nothing, no gifts, abs nothing, saving so much money but gives back nothing.

Likes

Stability is good. Though in the ongoing global recession, many of my co-workers had to leave projects because of project ramp down and did not get any other projects. Instead of recruiting employees from bench in other projects they are hiring more from people outside.

Dislikes

Appraisal is bad. So joining with low salary does not help much in the long run, better to switch.
