Good environment in work and company policies are good, appraisals are fair and they give good salary hike and bonus every year.Company offer many benefits to employees like work from home, insurance,meal card and etc..

There is a lot of politics and the management doesn't address our issues.Salary is decent but career growth is slow.

Cognizant is a typical service based IT company. It has a similar work-life balance, salary/ benefits, career progression, management, and job culture similar to other service-based IT companies.

Work life balance is defficult to manage.shifts are hectic some times, it hard to do night shifts.

Job security is good here. Your process gets change only if you are unable to perform well in any manager expectations. Skill development totally depends on the team leader but I'm sure everyone can show off or polish their skills here.

...fe balance. HR is so rude when you asks for work from home in serious situation. Salary is too less for the work. Promotions are fixed even if you perform better you only get promoted after a certain time that also depend on your team lead likings.

Management will not care about your problems. Salary is low compared to competitors. They'll change your project at September and for year end rating they'll simply say we haven't got chance to fully understand your capabilities as you've recently joined in the project. Every year this loop continues. No matter how hard you work or how many appreciations you get from client. "The more number of days you're in the same LOB, the more rating you'll get." (This is the excuse I've got when I questioned about the rating, despite having multiple client appreciations). This demotivates for sure!

Job security depends on situations. Few of my friends were in bench for more than 6 months, happily receiving salary without joining any project. While one of my friend was dismissed from cognizant because of not reporting to office during bench time. It all depends on the lead., my last project lead is a good man but a bad lead, he is new to cognizant as well. He doesn't even hear your suggestions and made me lose 3 months of night shift allowances worth 18,000
