The Company culture is good to work, especially with the kind of persons work here. job security is good and mostly depends on you performance. i had good work life balance, we can shift out work time based on Eve calls, i had liberty for that, it also depends on your Project. the benefits and hike is very low over last 4 years. the Business Management is on average, we can see Politics on every project. if you outshine every person, then only you can get some recognition and YEA.

Dislikes

There is highly Politics involved in Salary and appraisal, this is one thing i dislike the most. The travel policy is not there in Cognizant, like the onsite opportunities are very rare and heavily politicized, and there is no opportunities like a cycle based onsite traveling for a short term or an business travel to client site, so , you can forget about onsite until you age and you dont care about onsite itself.

As working here is quite good when your manager is cooperative. Though In previous two years work and manager both was good no complaints for them and i worked from home till now and everyone was cool.

Dislikes

Now during current project my so called manager is psycho. Here in cognizant manager also do coding but he is like only I have to do everything and he just wants credit for it. Even to other squads he is like only he is doing work. He oftenly insulted me and two other team mates. I talked with my home manager but no benefit. Only you have to suffer in that scenario.

1. Low job security 2. Forcing people to work from office(ODC) 3. Mostly support projects 4. Very low transparency with poor management 5. Work satisfaction is very average

Despite the fact that cognizant is not directly involved, the management team is the worst because I had a bad rating once and spoke with my HR about it. She said that it was illogical to claim to be able to speak Hindi, and they do not care about employees. While some employees are excellent, favoritism is a non-issue in the Kolkata office. I will not receive any better senior support that would help me start from scratch.

...a result, you will be highly appreciated with a very bad rating and feedback. 5. salary is very low and there is no hike or promotion if you are not favourite candidate of your manager

CTS provides a good work life balance and decent salary. All other things depends on the type of project which you got.

As a fresher you will be getting support projects , so be aware before choosing any project.
