Only the brand name is the benefit. Other things like salary and promotions are pathetic. Work culture is somewhat good, but mainly depends upon project. Job security is good as long as your salary is not that high. They assign some or the other projects suitable to your role and skill set, but politics is everywhere and you need to act smart in order to sustain in any company.

Dislikes

Promotion is a dream there and increments are also very negligible. Work from home was a dream before Covid and you are asked to take leave in case you are not able to come to office due to some reason. Higher management is least bothered about your well being. Goals setting and goal fulfillment is a major challenge there and you need to complete all yearly upgradation of your skills and pass the assessments to get a good rating. Office timings are also very strict and you need to spend 9 hours mandatorily in office whether you have work or not. As compared to earlier, it is much worse now in terms of flexibility and annual compensation. On-site opportunities are negligible these days, which used to be the major attraction of employees and one of the main reasons to join company like CTS.

Cognizant has strong capebilities in delivering technology services with a robust support. People are satisfied working here but since past couple of years company has not given ample opportunitiesto employees in terms of growth and compensastion

Not good approasal No timely appraisal No promotion policies No standard salary parameters as per exp No benchmarking for compensastion

If you swith to Cognizant, they will provide good salary compared to other service based company. They also push their associate for skill development with regular certification drive.

Dislikes

The appraisal system dropped drastically in couple of years. Very minimum salary hike with high ratings.

Likes

Stability is good. Though in the ongoing global recession, many of my co-workers had to leave projects because of project ramp down and did not get any other projects. Instead of recruiting employees from bench in other projects they are hiring more from people outside.

Dislikes

Appraisal is bad. So joining with low salary does not help much in the long run, better to switch.

Long term projects but mainly support projects. Flexible work timings On time salary and some increment every year Scope to show case your skills
