Cognizant has its challenges as a workplace. While there are learning opportunities, the work environment and work-life balance heavily depend on the project, which can make the experience unpredictable. Overall, it’s not the most rewarding place to work.

The salary is low, promotions take forever, and the work culture isn’t great. It really depends on the project, but overall, it’s not the best experience.

1) Limited salary hikes 2)Delayed promotions 3)Mostly support based projects 4)In hybrid model no dedicated ODC, which makes it difficult to get seats as there are limited availability 5)Need to be very much exceptional to get rewards or recognition and one might often feel underappreciated and thankless. 6)Under health insurance scheme there is no coverage for domiciliary expenses. 7)Sometimes one might need to follow up multiple time regarding allowances even if the required steps are initiated from the project.

Compensation, promotions are hilarious jokes here. Some of the managers(female) are false feminists. Appraisal process is the biggest flawed process in practice. No wonder Cognizant still tops employee attrition percentage(33%,which is ridiculous) this shows that the company isn't bothered to hold the employees who decide to go because the company fails to match the market standards for compensation. If employee engagement survey is take ln into consideration very strictly, the company's leaders would understand how unsatisfied its employees are, but that never happens. I'm one of the very few people who thought things would be a bit different this time at cognizant when Brian took charge but, he too is one of those leader who THINKS everything is fine, looking down from his helicopter window. If you are assigned to any ADM practice, understand that it's time to leave.

...ou will be fine, if you comply CTS rules then you have nothing to worry about. You will get hike every year, based on the company's turnover it may vary but mostly good compensation you will get. Work culture is very good, CTS support women's like no other company(Gender equality is amazing), gives priority to people who brings valuable ideas. One of the best IT company to work.

Compensation is decent but growth is slow. The work pressure is high. Sometimes I have to work for 14- 18 hours straight in a day as I have to attend client calls in the evening and sometimes late in to night. Also it would be helpful if there is onjob training ( we have options to personally learn and develop our skills via various courses provided) . On job training will reduce the time required for the freshers to adapt the new environment
