...otion happens based on supervisor recommendation, not based on your performance. Salary hike is very less. If you are long time in Organization and not able to make some good contacts who can recommend you for better opportunities and promotion, the workplace can be turned out as hell. There is politics - each and every kind. This is service based company - good contacts matter here. Opportunity of new learning is very less. Work culture is very poor.

Supervisor and team is very helpful inproject to make most out of you. Also helps in keeping work life balance. I loved to be part of cultural and sport side

Dislikes

Compassion and salary is very low. Lots of management politics involved in your grow. Project change or technology change is very difficult. Talent not recognized here. Less onsite opportunity now a days.

As working here is quite good when your manager is cooperative. Though In previous two years work and manager both was good no complaints for them and i worked from home till now and everyone was cool.

Dislikes

Now during current project my so called manager is psycho. Here in cognizant manager also do coding but he is like only I have to do everything and he just wants credit for it. Even to other squads he is like only he is doing work. He oftenly insulted me and two other team mates. I talked with my home manager but no benefit. Only you have to suffer in that scenario.

Despite the fact that cognizant is not directly involved, the management team is the worst because I had a bad rating once and spoke with my HR about it. She said that it was illogical to claim to be able to speak Hindi, and they do not care about employees. While some employees are excellent, favoritism is a non-issue in the Kolkata office. I will not receive any better senior support that would help me start from scratch.
