Being a PSU job security is the only good aspect of working in CIL.

Dislikes

Almost everything that comes to your mind. The non executive's gross salary is more than that of Executives. Work culture is worst due to the generation gap in the heirarchy. You will always be overloaded with work if you are from a certain department. So there's no work life balance. Seniors are toxic.

Dislikes

Work culture has not evolved to modern standards. Accountability is poor resulting in a few employees being overloaded and others going along without much work but drawing the same pay! No incentive for more work. Promotions are time bound and based on seniority only till General Manager level

...rom energy point of view. Work culture is First clads.Job Security is excellent. Salary structure is excellent. Personal Expenses is less because of interior Ness of coal mines. Traveling time from quarter to office in 6 days of a week is very less compared to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, due to this time saving in Traveling employees are living healthy compared to cities. In some places coal dust problem is there , still coal India service is healthy, wealthy service.
