Civica was very good company before acquired by Blackstone, Good Culture, work satisfaction.

After Blackstone, Civica has started layoff for betterment of the client and cost cutting. Civica is facing bad time as of now.

Existing people are good and supportive and the policies are good, including leave policies.

Dislikes

...butcher's knife running everywhere. Not sure what is the criteria used for this. But looks like it is salary which is affecting. Those who are getting more salary irrespective of their skills or utility they are removed.

Salary comes on time

Dislikes

Politics Job security and appraisals will not be there if you do not be a slave Despite there is an open door policy. The managers wont allow you to reach leadership. And will mark you down. Development team is pressurized to work after office hours and even on weekends Despite mentioning wfh and good work culture. The middle management is not willing to adjust to provide a flexible working hours.

After working for almost 1.5 years ,i can say that civica is a very good company. You can reach out to anyone for your any issues nobody judges you. Line managers are also very helpful ,i myself had praised people from multiple departments in civica for their help. Also i have learnt quite a good things while working there. The accesories they had given are of very good quality The total number of leaves provided by civica is more than regular IT companies Also civica promote healthy environment so they ask employees to take all the leaves from their bucket which is good thing.(personal preference) The working environment,work life balance,no stress work are very very good and essential features of civica Overall if i had to rate on the scale of 10 I would give 8/10 to civica

1- They may not give u high package 2- Dot net + c# these two are the base technologies for civica so if u are trying for a promotion and working on react js/angular then also while promotion you have to pass an exam which will contain questions form ur domain + dot net + c# + sql Which according to me is not fair 3- Also they must not stick on a particular technology for their bidding just because developers from that technology can be hired in less package even though its not very useful (i dont want to go deeper on this )

Dislikes

UK team is not good We have to come even on public holidays as well. Though they pay for those days but it is not good. We cannot celebrate festivals for just money. How rude 😖 Our India’s reporting manager does not like anyone to use mobile phone or talk with each other. His behaviour is like interfering not only for work but other things as well.
