The working environment including Work Life Balance is good at Ciena. Compare to the IT services company the appraisal is good but there is not much scope of onsite opportunities. There is full accountability given for particular work and tasks and that is like open culture.

Not much onsite opportunities. Salary should be a bit high comparing to market standard.

Work culture is very decent, work life balance is good, compensation is good in market, avoiding processes which are disliked generally like daily timesheet, too much approvals, etc.

There is hardly anything to dislike in Ciena but if I have to add then international traveling option is less.

Ciena is a great place to work, explore and make connections and overall grow in the IT industry. For the past year or so I've been part of Ciena, the best part I've felt is that its a company a person can settle and give years especially later in their career. The culture is very employee centric and there are many verticals to work and contribute. They are very flexible wit the timings and the managers and colleagues are very supportive. I am working as a remote employee and their remote program is one of the very best in the industry. Also there is very less micro-management in the company which is refreshing as people contribute and work on their hours they are comfortable with.

Dislikes

...rojects with very less development and the work at some times not much exciting. Also their is a lot of salary variation among people with same experience or job title.
