Most of the projects are older technologies, most are support projects, some time you may feel that you got limited opportunities to learn, learning is not that much good, hikes are some times less than 5%, some times you may feel like doing same type of work again and again

Likes

1. In CGI we have work from home option which is really essential and useful. 2. If you are a experienced member, then joining from day 1, you are a permanent employee in CGI which is good. There is no such kind of probationary period for experienced candidates. 3. Good work life balance. 4. Salary on time (before to last day of each month). 5. Having options to learn new technologies via internal webinar sessions. 6. Sometimes, they will conduct fun activities. 7. If you work hard and if you earn a name as best employee, you may eligible for receiving cash awards. 8. CGI provides many help to its employees financially and mentally during this pandemic which is really welcome one. 9. You may get many projects from different regions. 10. There is no strict time for login and log out. And no one will track you either you really worked 9 hours/day or not. Which is awesome. 11. You can even change your technology internally after completing 2 years in CGI. 12. Having good number of leaves in CGI. 8 optionals leaves, 12 casual leaves and 12 paid leaves. 13. You are free to learn any technologies in CGI.

... received less hike this time. I have tried my best to give this hike to you. 7. In your CTC, 5% is variable pay. In which 3% you will be contributed to company share. And you can withdraw that share anytime. Remaining 2% you will receive as a pay out during every year december salary. Where you wont even receive 50% of it. If you ask why, you will get answer that, you and our project performed well. But globally, CGI didnt performed well this year. 8. If you dont want to learn new things, if you want to get what ever hikes they give, if you want to settle till age 58, then CGI is the best company. But if you dont want above, then join and relieve within 2 to 3 years. 9. Getting appreciation and awards are rare. Especially cash awards. 10. Some times, there will be lack of motivation in work. 11. CGI must try to retain best employees who decides to leave organization. 12. CGI must give hikes like 18% to 20% atleast even at the time of promotion. It really hurts, if we receive usual hikes even during promotion time. At last, come here, work, learn.. in max 3 years, if you feel didnt learn so much and your ctc didnt raised, then resign immediately. Do not stick here for long term.

Depends upon project and business unit. For me , here in DataCycle360 and Wealth360, work is excellent means, you will get more and more work if you are able to do quickly so, learning opportunity is excellent, technologies is also decent as per industry, but if i think independently and don't compare with other company then carriers growth (salary) in terms of appraisal is not good.

Dislikes

Appraisal, salary growth within CGI, Hybrid mode of working, WFO, In terms of quality and quantities work delivered - More work is there based on current 9LPA CTC of promoted SSE atleast for me, by comparing with external hired SSE which takes 19LPA. So, Switching to other company is good rather than getting Promoted within CGI.

Definately a great place to work if you are less ambitious about financial growth. Almost zero micro management. Perfect place for experienced people to get settled or for longer run.

Dislikes

Not at all recommended for freshers. Very less salary hike and confusing apraisal cycle. Unnecessary hierarchy and complex organisation structure. Full off useless managers only drawing huge amount of salary just by talking in calls 2-3 hours everyday. IJP & internal trainings are all showoff. No use at all.

...s favoured management. There was no good hikes even after asking multiple times. The salary isn't upto market standards.
