I joined CESS in its initial stage of development. Since then scientists and other staffs were recruited. Number of Divisions such as Geosciences Division, Marine Sciences Division, Resource Analysis Division etc. were started. A large number of projects of multidisiplinary research were taken up and executed and over a period of time it has grown up as a leading research institute. I retired from CESS on 30th April 2010. Since then it has been taken over by the Government of India and consequently it has been renamed as National Centre for Earth Science Studies.
