...you are lucky you may get a chance for team outing.. although now they are rare. salary is credited on time

No perks.. No work life balance.. have to work on weekends and long hours without compensation.. amd also.. for 2 years none of the tech team got any hike they just keep on delaying if you go and ask... If you are a person who takes pride in your code and have ideas/innovation this company is not for you.. its more like a family run operation where preference is given to malayalees (if you are one you can look into it).. they even make women sit till late like 10pm without even booking a cab or making sure they got home safely. I have personally witnessed one of my colleague crying because the manager did not let her go even though she said she will work from home, literally her tears had no effect on him.

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?
