Salary is hell less, this job is suitable for college students
Unwanted no pay for class
If your looking as part-time job this is not for you, some extend it is okay for full-time.
Their dashboard is very worst no idea what kind of software developers they hired.
Worst technical glitches always.
Think more and then decide.
...s still not got. If you want to make your life hell then join this shit company.
Salary growth is decreasing. You hardly earn 10-15 k per month from which they put penalty unnecessary.
Overall it's a worst company ever
I have worked at Brightchamps for 2years now, and i am here to raise all the red flags
• Tech - Tech is not a priority here, it is just an operations and business company, tech is just there to support them. There won't be any growth here period. There is no senior member in the engineering team who can guide you to a better software developer. They tried hiring some good engineers last year but the politics of some senior leadership made them go away.
• Fake reviews - In order make Brightchamps a brand, they are circulating a google sheet to employees to post fake reviews on glassdoor and other places. So never trust any good reviews from anywhere about the company, they are all fake.
• Layoffs - Although Company's ceo publically said that they have runway for 4-5Years, they are still doing layoffs, but they are doing the worst kind. They are calling employees(SDE 1) and telling them that they are being laid off, and in a week's time, they will recieve the termination letter, so its better for them to resign right away so that there won't be any red flags in their resume, and in fear of this they are resigning, and as for Senior memebers they are telling them that from next month they get a large paycut(40-60%) and its better that they resign or else they will have pay slips with lower income and there will be difficulties finding a new job.
• No Feedbacks - The leadership does not even know who are they managing, there is no 1-1 session even once for all the employees in my 2 years time. Thet don't even know who has built what, they just care that the business and operations team are happy.
• No vision for the company - They started big saying online EdTech is the future and now they are pivoting to offline, and instead of learning the offline market they are just launching products that are bound to fail and then firing PMs for not delivering.
• No appraisals - They told us that there won't be any appraisals this year, but they have 5 years of runway and money to acquire new companies and money to open branch new office in Bengaluru. And the wrost of all are saying appraisals won't happen untill we reach 2X growth and 0 burn.(2X growth in declining edtech market, seriously).
• Politics - There is a lot of it, people are getting fired and promoted based on this. They are literally distroying careers of people with tech experise.
All in all its the worst company for tech people, if you have an offer don't join here. If you are currently working here, Sorry, please look for a new Job, you will not learn anything here.
I know it looks like a rant, and it kind of is, but it is an honest review working in the leadership team for 2 years.
TL;DR Worst company for tech people, no growth, no appraisals, lot of politics, worst care for employees, fake reviews.
I am stuck here for some perosnal commitments, but won't suggest anyone to join this toxic company specially in tech
... so anyone who don't have a regular work-life balance can get into brightchamps. TL support us so much and take care about everything from class schedule issue till the salary end. Guideness will be given in a friendly and proper way that helps and motivates us to work for brightchamps.
I don't find anything negative to tell about the bright champs
