I worked in a company for 20 years and suddenly put off role. Searching jobs I realised I am over age for various roles that I could do and less experienced for Leadership Roles as my exposure was limited. I always thought I am earning decent money and can work another 7 years and retire at 50. Though the younger generation is much smarter I still want to advise them (BFSI specific) * Work in a role for max 2-3 years and switch when you feel you are done. * By age of 30, if you are still earning less than 10 lakh you are not growing * By age of 35 you must become AVP as no company will hire AVP if you are more than 36. *Be loyal to your self, not your organization. * Most importantly save atleast 30% or more of whatever your CTC. Donot spend much with every raise. * Buy a property, and pay loans before 35. In tough times it's only Savings that give you cushion and peace nothing else

Hire for the time when they have worked and then immediately fire. All senior management got fired if don't trust ask square trade account how many folks they have been removed. If you are under Vedha's then never join, they hire a team for Dunkirk technology and immediately fired all of them in 15 days if don't trust so ask what happened to the batch who joined in September 2023, luckily I m java developer so could survive for a year but then finally they fired me, my manager, senior manager and all other senior level developer. If you are aware that USA crises for California fire, so Allstate bearing heavy lose and obviously they started India Labour development center so they can easily use us and fire as other foreign country dev are on higher salary. If you think I am lying so Please ask HR about above mentioned points. Ask what happened to squaretrade account Ask what happened to the folks who joined in september 2023 Ask vedha's team where are they now ?

...r for US. Allstate acquired Square trade but they people are ruling on allstate. If you want to spoil you career in the greed of higher package then join this company and then after fire even you will have the higher salary range issue so other opportunity will not come to you.

Salary hike is very poor, where in a new employee gets a decent hike of 30+% and the employee working from years won't even get 10% properly, it would be really good if employee gets a decent yearly hike like around minimum 20%

1. I joined Allstate with huge hopes in a senior role with 10+ years experience and the Ireland based ABI management lay off my entire team within a year. At this stage of our careers we were not offered any support from the HR team as there is no bench policy here. We were only offered 15 days of severance pay and were made to sign a MoU that we will not post anything on social media about this incident. I know once incident cannot determine the overall company brand value but please note this has happened inside this company and not an isolated incident that the company shouldn't held responsible for. We all struggled for 4 months to make ourselves positioned to an suitable job in an already low demand job market. We cannot explain our struggle in words, Monthly EMIs, job ghosting by other companies, other company HR taking advantage of our situations. My only request to this company is go for contract hiring only don't play with senior candidates careers. I felt like writing to Labor commission about this incident with a copy of MoU which was illegal but due to poor governance in India I thought of redirecting this energy towards something meaningful. 2. There are no onsite opportunity which is why company attracts you with little extra pay with no job security. You would be fired any day. 3. Heavy politics. I have seen position were forcefully created overnight to save a senior management employee from getting fired while the new joiners were terminated with just 15 days of severance pay.

Horrible place to work. They may advertise as great place to work. However, you will only biasness to the core of every promotion/band progression. They will not be ashamed to promote people by cheating in the important certifications for the promotions. Also, the management is so horrible that they will only and only promote one specific religion-based people who can't speak two correct sentences of English. You will be shocked to see the diversity in management as they only promote what we call as "Chaploose" to the height that senior managers are reclessly moved out of the Team if not fitting into their personal ego fulfillment. This is the worst decision of my work carrier and make sure if you are not the one who can carry tiffin bags , laptop bags, give door service and out of working hours service to your supervisor then this is not the place for you.
