Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Working at this company has been an unsettling experience. The lack of improvement opportunities and poor work-life balance make it challenging. The corporate culture is toxic, fostering a negative environment. The management is arguably the worst I've encountered, with ineffective leadership and communication. It's disheartening to witness the disregard for employee well-being. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company to others seeking a positive and supportive work environment. It's crucial for management to address these issues promptly to retain talent and foster a healthier workplace.
