Salary Expectations

I am a Social Media Specialist with over 4 years of experience and was earning around 4.5 LPA in my previous role. When I joined my current organization, I discovered that my manager, with just 2.5 years of work experience, was earning a compensation of 7.6 -8.2 LPA (approx). This was quite surprising to me, and it made me question the market standards. I am currently looking to switch roles and, based on my research through Glassdoor and other sources, I am expecting a package of 7-8 LPA. However, many HRs I’ve spoken to feel that even 6 LPA is too high. What should be the ideal salary expectation for someone with my experience in the current market?

Likes

Retention of faculty is excellent, Maintains Highly experienced faculty, Job security is good. As the students come from different states of India and foreign nationals in addition to the local students, its a mixed bag of cultures you can get acquainted with.

Dislikes

As the to-and-fro travel takes around 2 hours from my residence, work-life balance becomes a bit difficult
