The work life balance may vary on the project and your manager. It's not same for all employees. I had a terrible experience managing my personal life due to so many hours of work even after my shift was over. Lack of recognition is another thing which managers generally ignore or simply don't know who is doing what which is important to recognise or appreciate someone.
