As a software engineer, the code quality of the product I worked at is the worst of all my experience. Because it was written by vendor teams(cognizant). There idea to fix bugs is to ignore them in configs so they dont get scanned. The vendor dependency 7Eleven has is going to ruin the work environment for the software engineers who actually want to learn and write good code. During my interview process i was asked about SOLID principles and Design Patterns and what not. After joining and seeing the work they have already done i realised the mistake I made. Vendors have a seniority complex. Managers do not care about the quality as long as it works. Any issue faces by team in India will be ignored if the US team(vendors) doesnt care. This is my honest review. No matter how good the perks are. They dont matter if you cannot progress your career or learn anything.

No career growth, no new technology, no learning, Always hiring and firing mode . Always dominated by on-site (USA) team. They will make you feel you don’t know anything.

Company culture is good, free Buffet lunch, Juices, evening snacks, Games - XBox, Arcade Game, team outing, party.

Dislikes

Work Life Balance is zero. Micromanagement in project. Every year 30% workforce will be on PIP from every project.

Not much of pressure from leadership. Almost negoigible micromanagement.

Dislikes

Quality of work is not good. Culture is not very good. Work is dependent on onsite team, because of which , people have to stretch work hours late night. No emphasis on automation.
