Likes

Wonderful team with common goals. Team building events, weekly & monthly associate engagements motivate all. Celebrating success even if it is a small success keeps energy levels of all very high

Work satisfaction - Good

Dislikes

Work culture changes drastically after it became a Marriott brand. Fun, entertainment, transparency, growth have reduced since it became a Marriott brand. Strong bias feeling towards one set of team members & others discarded & discouraged especially Starwood alumni.

Job security - Bad
Promotions - Poor
Company culture - Bad

Work Details

Long working hours but able to maintain decent work life balance. Six offs in a month, 30 PTOs are good enough. Challenges are there at every stage which keeps me active & gives a scope of additional learning.

Work days: Alternate Saturday off (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This job involves Travel Within Country.

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
