Guys believe me, I applied for atleast 300 jobs on Internshala before getting into WeMakeScholars. And I am someone who went to a decent college, has above 80s in all my acads, had an internship experience, but still after BBA, I wasn’t getting offered more than 15k for any meaningful job. To all those who are looking for cons here, just go and start finding a job and you will know how you are ghosted by most legit companies and how you are followed up by only illegit job scammers. WeMakeScholars doesn’t have any cons. I have been working here since 8 months and it was one of the best career starts I could dream for.

Good company, Excellent colleagues, Good role, No politics. Salary is always credited on time and better than what market offers for freshers. You won’t even get in-hand starting salary of 22k in TCS or Wipro. And most important, company is pretty stable, without any investment, so bro, you won’t get an email saying “Laid off” unlike Byju’s or unacademy.

Dislikes

There is too much competition in FO role. There are perks also, but you should be someone who wants to work hard and grow.

Worked as a financial officer. On top of my 22k fixed salary, I got more than 8k incentives for most months. In season time, got more than 15k to 20k incentives per month. The harder you work, the more you get. It is a good job for freshers. I left due to other career goals.

The best thing I like about We Make Scholars is that my TL and also the management has given me freedom to work at my work pace and culture. As a fast growing start-up, we get a chance to learn quickly and the latest happenings in the market.

Dislikes

As we have a performance based incentives, at times, you keep chasing with full involvement in the assigned work. I got rewarded the best possible way and it's a good thing infact. But, sometimes it might become overwhelming. As a fresher, it's a learning curve and I should be able balance it.

When I left WeMakeScholars 6 months ago, I was holding the position of a Team Leader. At a managerial rank, I believe WeMakeScholars had a lot of differences compared to other companies. Firstly, it took 1.5 yrs from being a fresher campus recruit to be a Team Leader- which is pretty quick as per market standards. Secondly, Founders work very closely with Manager level people, so you get to be in meetings where policies are formed, key decisions are taken, so, it had a lot of learnings for me. This was my first job and I worked at WeMakeScholars for 2.5 yrs, now I am studying abroad. I felt the work environment is really good at WeMakeScholars. When it is our first job, we will be nervous and we will also be lacking so many skills, even basic skills of writing an email. So, this company gives you a friendly workplace and you will be taught basic skills required in a workplace which are not taught in college. Colleagues are friendly but immature at times. People keep cribbing at non-sense things like they are in some school or college. It is very difficult to handle such cry babies as a team leader.

I joined WeMakeScholars after 1.5 yrs of experience at 2 different mid-size start-ups. But believe me, WeMakeScholars is a very different experience. Company has a pretty positive vibe- lean hierarchy, very simple practices, rarely any politics, most people love the company. A good number of employees continue after 1 yr bond and I have spoken to a few who expressed missing the company after leaving, but at the same time, there are a few haters also, who are always negative about every policy, every change and there is one such person in my team. It is so hard to understand why is she cribbing about everything. To be honest, I haven’t seen such extremes in any company. I think if you are a doer, you would like it. About an year ago, I joined as a financial officer and as we all know there is 1 yr commitment period. I know my thoughts are going to be opposite to many of you, but I feel working with a 1 yr bond, made me very focussed and kept me away from all the distractions of the world- CA, CMA, ACCA…. I have had a very fulfilling learning experience, compared to my friends, who spent this last 1 yr writing all the exams of the world, without actually focussing on any. Also, you can ask anyone at WeMakeScholars, the salary hike after 1 yr, is pretty good… it is worth staying for a few more years, after you get that hike. And the company is pretty stable and sorted in terms of funds, so there isn’t any risk of lay off, until unless you goof up....Read More

Rules are a little too strict, but I think it is required considering the fact that literally every new joinee is 20-21 yr old kid and we GenZs are hard to manage.

People here are very friendly. I had seizures in office once and I can tell you they took care of me like my family would have done at home. The CEO asked me everyday for the next 3-4 days if I am feeling fine.

Variety of work is the best thing in this role. I worked on SEO content, social media content, copywriting and many more things. So, I think this role is best called “Writer’s paradise”. I enjoy learning long form and short form content writing and not thinking of quitting anytime soon.
