1. Lack of safety Protocols: In 2024, multiple accidents occurred at the plant, ranging from caustic spillage that left a site worker blind to a 33kV electrocution. The Safety dept, including Panda and Akash Bal, is more focused on checking PPEs at the Entry Gate rather than ensuring proper safety protocols inside the plant. Their negligence is putting everyone's life at risk. 2. Inefficient Upper Management: The upper management lacks the expertise to run the plant. Sanjeev Verma, the head of Commissioning, doesn't ensure quality during commissioning, leading to frequent breakdowns. Prabhakar Rao, the head of maintenance, has no real understanding of the plant operations. 3. Unfair Appraisal System: Performance evaluation are based on how well employees serve their mangers rather than their actual work. Many of the best engineers from NIT and IIT have resigned because their contributions was never recognized. 4. Environmental Negligence: The environment department is unaware that the Calciner and PowerPlant are operating without ESPs, leading to severe health hazards. Fly Ash and alumina dust are constantly polluting the air, posing significant risks to workers and residents. 5. Harassment in Township: In the township, bachelors are not allowed to walk or talk to friends after 7PM due to harassment by G4S security personnel. 6. Inadequate Medical Facilities: The medical facilities are severely lacking, with 90% of the essential medicines unavailable. In 2023, a female employee died of dengue because the hospital lacked proper medical resources.
