No goal setting or performance measurement process. No irritating emails, HR follow-ups for the same and so a lot of time is saved there. But for the annual variable pay, you do need to conjecture something up.

Lack of both product culture & engineering culture. Strategies and focus change week on week, month on month. Product has a dotted line reporting to engg which over time seems to be converting to a full line. With no clear direction, product rarely ships any impactful features and there is a constant struggle to catch-up with competition. Company has no vision. Its literally catching up with every other broker on the street. One day you copy Zerodha, on the another day you copy Groww. Its just sad to see the wasted potential of this company. I blame the leadership who promoted people from non-product backgrounds to product leadership and they are ruining the company. Every team works in silos which exasperates the problem

Am I on right path?

Right after my BCom, I took a service advisor role at Honda for ₹7K due to urgency. Later, I moved to a gas station for ₹10K, handling all kinds of work beyond office tasks. My breakthrough came when I joined as an order management specialist in Bangalore for ₹22K. To advance, I self-learned Excel, Power BI, coding, and automation, earning a specialist role. I also completed my MBA in Logistics & Supply Chain online. After four years, my salary reached ₹35K. With management’s support, I transitioned to a procurement specialist role at ₹45K + ₹11K (night shift), later growing to ₹58K + ₹11K by optimizing processes. Now, I’m preparing for an HR round and planning to ask for a 55% hike. Am I on the right track? How can I accelerate my career growth?
