I didn't like anything at all about this workplace. Except exploitation of employees, they have nothing good to offer. Lowest salaries, no appraisal, no promotion, wrong hiring, everything is just worst to worse here

Everyone wants to work for a legacy media company. The Statesman is one such company and that’s just about it. There is nothing more an employee can look forward to in terms of job satisfaction. It needs to do much more to stay relevant. Can start with some sort of synergy between its print and online divisions. The online section also must hire reporters or let workers go out of the officer for news gathering. Not paying salaries on time puts off a lot of people even as the company struggles to retain talent....Read More

Dislikes

A very small team, which is highly inadequate to meet the job demand. There is no career growth as hierarchy is not defined. There is no appraisal system so attrition rate is very high. No scope for travel and networking, which makes it difficult for the journalists to deliver. Salary not paid on time.

Work Details

It was hectic. As the head of the online content team without a proper deputy, there was nothing that moved without my involvement. This meant I had to be available at all hours, which made it difficult for me to maintain a work life balance.

thestatesman. Com is the worst company to work. They don't increase salary and provide a fake experience letter.

The chairman of the company is not a good person. They cheat the employees.
