Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?

It's my second year in TCS, and honestly, I am looking for opportunities outside already, because it may be a government job as people might tell you, but if you really love your life and actually want to have a good career advancement, this is not the place to be.

Dislikes

First of all, the lack of work- life balance. Next, your efforts are always undermined Then, you are continuously overworked, underpaid. The annual hike is equivalent to peanuts. The promotion criteria is the worst. Being a female employee, is confusing, because you are not trusted with complicated tasks, even if you are more than enough capable. However, you are feared the most when someone somewhere raises their voice at you, or just calls you out on something. I hoped TCS would be a stepping stone towards a better career for me, however, somehow I'm not sure about it anymore....Read More
