1). The culture of promotion based on top management perception at the end of year who are not direclty in touch with that person. 2). Bell curve of Rating. 3). Unnecessarily disturbing people mind by the process of Rating which itself is unfair system, so much coorporate politics & favouritism. 4). Head/Chief perception towards female officers in operation, biased perception, unequal opportunity for female. 5). After Ratan Tata's demise Tata Steel is the worst place for engineers. *All perks seized, leaves are half now. No meal is subsidized. *You have to works for days without off, leave. Even tea and water is payable. *Increament is like peanuts and forget about promotion. *Even if you survive a safety or code of conduct case will be issue to prove you are the slave.

The company culture is opposite of what everyone thinks. There is way too much Sir culture and the performance appraisal depends on how well your relation is with your reporting manager, not on your performance.

Culture has worsened like anything. Appraisal is based on oiling, not dedication. Inefficient and ineffective people are promoted to higher positions. Work systems are getting complicated day by day. Bribery is prospering under the hood of transparency. However survey results are manipulated to get award for Employer of Choice.
