Same company in different locations have different policies and salary structure. Tata steel gives facilities only for employees in Jamshedpur and Kalinga nagar location. Very poor management, they don't care about their employees, work-life balance.

Since in every other TATA steel location there is DA, VDA, Night shift allowance, VSS, VPF. But in Tata Steel meramandali there was so such allowances. Also before and after working hours there was a big communication problem via transportation due to road jam everyday. And the accomodation provided by the Tata Steel at meramandali is also a lumpsum of 8000 to 9500 for both bachelor and family which being deducted from our salary, which should be nominal charges like outside the plant....Read More

Many things that i dislike in this company. 1)Road and Transport facility is very poor 2)Always facing a Road jam outside the plant. 3)No rooms available in Township for thier employees except Higher Head level employees. 4)Not all facilities which were in Tata Steel jamshedpur. 5)Very less salary in this era also comparison to other companies.

This company is not for the contactor workers because the officers present on the four feet of Yaya like shift incharge, senior fitter, accountant all of them show the status of their projection and not just that.

HR says company accommodation available near plant location. But after joining you are told to get accommodation which is 25 km far from plant and daily 3 hrs are wastage in traveling.

After the demise of Ratan Tata, Tata Steel is no longer a place to work anymore. The Stupid HR policy, Forced Retirements, reduced number of leaves are the new normal. The only good part was the OPD medical facility which be discontinued from April onwards as well.
