It is a steel manufacturing company. Integrated steel plant. I have been working in purchasing of Materials like spares, consumables, raw materials. Also stores activities. From year 1981 to 2010. Then in development of Sap system from 2010 to 2015 Very systemic working process

Overall a very rigid environment. If you want to change something, then you will face too much difficulty . Some bosses are good, who understand and are flexible to understand other viewpoint. Others are stubborn and they want to make sure that any problem they faced in their career must also be faced by new entarnts in the system.

Dislikes

Their appraisal system is such , that they tend to show that are trying to make a hierarchy, seperating performers and non performers. But this is usually discriminatery because Opposite also happens quite a time. They promote almost 95% peoples and leave some just to show that all cannot be promoted. Usually their appraisal is based on like and dislike and not on work.

Fair and transparent. Training facilities are excellent. Promotion is purely on merit basis. Salary and wages good. Freedom of doing developmental activities are vast.
