a technical manager

Can we change domain after 16 years of experience?

I'm working as a technical manager (Java based) in a global Bank having 16 years of experience, my whole career is with banking and financial services. Current CTC is 34LPA. Now I think to change my job to get more salary, i get very few calls for interview because of 3 months notice period, and few of them were from different domains ( health care, logistics etc.). Is it wise to change domain? Or better to look for internal jobs with the bank?

I just love SCB.. The bank with flexibility of working hours, giving importance to the employees, following the rules and regulations set by the regulatories, immediate service delivery to the customers etc.

Employee friendly bank.Ask for a change in profile you get it means bank allows you to grow and learn.

Dislikes

Politics do take place in smaller branch-at times you don't understand who is right or wrong.Salary hike should be considered.

Work Details

I enjoyed my 10 years with standard chartered bank in all areas.(I enjoyed customer handling at front desk in all branches) Was not willing to resign but had to for my two small children.
