in finance deptt it s team work comprises of different sec e.g. stores a/c, cost & budget,sales a/c estb , tax, csr/civil , finalization of a/c etc.you have to co ordinate with all a/c sectional in charge for complete report & audit finalization. some times data have to submitted for lok sabha Q Hrs or other GOVT bodies..hence relation with team met is very much important. as every sec is dependent with other & vis a vis. in finance generally a/cs is a laid down process. when there is change in Co. Act/ co law it has to be adopted. e.g introducing of GST. total tax structure have been changed. this required training & it had been compulsory for all fin executive. over & above general training progs. are conducted for interaction with different discipline. e.g. engg deptt, mining deptt,.civil deptt. excavtion deptt. etc.along with routine training SECL is the GOVT /UT co. under ministry of Coal of Govt of India. unless otherwise you done any fraud etc .your job is secured. Co has a fixed promotion policy up to middle level management .i.e. on seniority cum merit. salary is fixed for all GOVT U/T by PSU.as per grade. eg. E1,E2.......E8 etc. external politics not any cause in work. newly appointed exec. are go through the exhaustive training about their discipline , co's policy, work etc. other exec. are take part of different training prog. conducted by co.as well as different out side agencies through out the yr. working environment is very good. generally coal mines are situated in remote areas. which are away from city life. so you have to balance your personal life with Metro life. but it is more challenging to work in such a situation with devotion to the work. then you will enjoy the work . you also fill proud that you directly take part in power sector of india....Read More

Coal india is now a NAVARATNA Company. its career policy is applicable to coal india & its subsidiaries e,g, SECL,BCCL.WCL,ECL.NCL,CMPDIL etc. it takes more time to promote the executives to implementation of promotions. Appraisal report some times does not commensurate with the actual work done by the executives.

I was working as in charge of diff.finance discipline eg banking,cash,.purchase a/c ing.cost & budget, employee payment,sales etc.. I have to maintain a good relationship with my sub ordinate & junior execs. to complete the work with stipulated time.

Its a coal mines field , i have done 1year working in secl area. Its good area 👍.

Under ground area is good but open cast area has few environmental problems like (dust).
